He was born May 7, 1901 in Salem Township, a son of the late William A. Ross and Ada Bainter Ross Shepfer. he spent most of his life in the Adamsville vicinity. On Nov. 24, 1932, he was married to Dorothy Orndorff, who died Nov. 19, 1941. A former Line Material Company employee, he had also worked at Richman's and Citizen's Budget Company in Zanesville. He was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church and for many years was the church organist. He was a past master of Hubbard Lodge F&AM of Adamsville and was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are an aunt, Mrs. Dora Bell of Adamsville and a number of cousins. Friends may call at Shirer and Son Funeral Home in Adamsville 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in New Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. B. C. Kreis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church an hour prior to services.
