SARBAUGH DIES AT AGE OF 84 Albert Roy Satbaugh, 84, of 721 Francis street, veteran mail carrier, died at 9:40 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 28) at Frame Rest home on blue avenue where he had been a patient since Jan. 3. Born at Adamsville on July 12, 1882, he was a son of Martin and Mercie Blair Sarbaugh. He was a member of Central Trinity Methodist Church, Hubbard Lodge No. 220 of F&AM, fellowship class of the church and the National Association of Rural Carriers. He was appointed Gilbert postmaster in 1910, serving until 1917 when he began carrying a rural route which he continued for 34 years. Surviving are his widow, the former Faith Barnett,; three sons, Forrest of 472 Karl drive, Roy of Route 7 and Jack of Rome, N. Y.; a daughter, Miss Effie Sarbaugh of Sacramento, Calif.; three brothers, Grover of Adamsville, Harris of Coshocton and Russell of Dresden; two sisters, Mrs. Elma Osborne of Anderson, Ind. and Mrs. Lezetta Lauvray of Fresno; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A son, a daughter, four brothers and a sister preceded him in death. The body was taken to Arthur Bryan Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Monday and where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. William Riley of Central Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
