Sarbaugh, 87, of Adamsville Route 1, a retired farmer, died at 8:44 a.m. Tuesday at Bethesda Hospital following three weeks illness. Born May 15, 1885, in Adams Township, Mr. Sarbaugh was a son of Martin L. and Mercie Blair Sarbaugh. He spent most of his life in Madison Township but had resided in the Adamsville area the past 10 years. His widow, the former Nellie M. Thomas, whom he married Dec. 2, 1917, survives. He was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School teacher many years. He was also a member of Hubbaard Lodge 220 F&AM at Adamsville. Surviving in addition to his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Marjorie) Henthorne of 1127 Ellen Drive; a son, Lawrence E. Sarbaugh of Okemos, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Lezetta Lauvray of Fresno; six grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Two sisters and six brothers are deceased. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shirer and Son Funeral Home at Adamsville with Rev. Webster G. Cox in charge. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home where Hubbard Lodge will hod services at 7 p.m. today.
