Death followed a five-month illness. Mr. Sturz was born in Ostheim, Germany, SEpt. 8, 1885, son of Frederick August and Karoline Schenke Sturz. He had lived in Zanesville 64 years, and was a partner in Sturz and Schmid Tailors on Main street. Mr. Sturz was a member of Grace Methodist church, Eagles Lodge 302, and United Commercial Travelers. Surviving are a son, Karl Sturz of Palm Springs, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Helen (William) Zink of 2512 Oakwood avenue; two brothers, Julius Sturz of San Diego, Calif. and L. Max Sturz of Columbus; and four grandchildren. The body is at DeLong and Baker Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
