Talbot, 66, of Newark, native of Moxahala, was dead on arrival Thursday afternoon at Licking County Memorial Hospital where he was taken after being stricken ill at his home. "Mr. Talbot was a retired shipping clerk at the Owens Corning Glass Co. and was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church in Newark and the Eagles Lodge at New Lexington. "His wife, Bertha, preceded him in death. "Surviving are two sons, Richard of Newark and James of Galena, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Spangler of Magadore,[sic] Mrs. Pauline Metzger and Mrs. Lucy Hillis both of New Lexington and Mrs. Elizabeth Cost of Cleveland; two half brothers, John Masterson of New Lexington and Francis Masterson of Crooksville; two half sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Frost of Columbus and Mrs. Mary Mills of Alexandria, Ohio and six grandchildren. "The body was taken from the Eagan Funeral Home in Newark to the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home in New Lexington where friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. "Services will be held Monday morning at St. Joseph's Priory in Somerset with burial in Maplewood Cemetery at New Lexington."
