Tucker, 76, of 311 North St., Duncan Falls, died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 1987, at Sunnyview Nursing Home, where he had been a patient for about two years. He was born Sept. 18, 1910, in Meigs Township, son of Guy and Emma Trainer Tucker. A resident of Duncan Falls since 1961, Mr. Tucker retired from Ohio Ferro Alloy Corporation in 1972 after 22 years of service as a supervisor and a shipping department laborer. He was a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 1512. He also farmed the home farm in Meigs Township. Mr. Tucker attended Ohio University in 1932. He taught at the Elliott School in Chandlersville. He is survived by his wife, Frances M. Gallogly Tucker whom he married April 27, 1935; two sons, J. Larry Tucker of Mercer Island, Wash. and Don Michael Tucker of 12455 Rural Dale Road, Chandlersville; one brother, Eugene Tucker of New Lexington; one sister, Mrs. John (Erma) Magill of Circleville; three grandchildren, Janet Tucker, Judith Tucker and Susan Tucker; five step- grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Dee Ann Rock, Cathy Rock, Gail Passwater and Chad Rock; and three step-great-grandchildren. Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Friends were received Thursday and Friday at Thompson-Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls. Services were held Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Deane O. Bush officiating. Burial followed in Duncan Falls Cemetery. Friends are asked to make memorial tributes to either Duncan Falls United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
