In the name of the Benevolent Father of all,

I, Skelton Standiford, of the County of Muskingum and State of Ohio, do make 
and publish this my last will and testament.

Item 1st, I give and devise to my beloved wife, in lieu of her dower, the 
farm on which we now reside, situated in Harrison Township, Muskingum Couty, 
Ohio, containing about eighty acres more or less, during her natural life; 
and all the stock, household goods, furniture, provisions, and other goods 
and chattels which ay be thereon, at the time of my decease, during her 
natural life, as aforesaid. She, however, selling or disposing of the same 
as she may see proper. At the death of my said wife, the real estate 
aforesaid, and so much of the said personal property or the proceeds 
thereof, as may then reamin unconsumed and unexpended, I give and devise to 
my daughters, Elizabeth Barton, Caroline Standiford (alias Winn), Ellen 
Dutro, Sarah Spangler and Mary A. Baker and their heirs, it being surely 
understood that Caroline Standiford (alias Winn) is to have one hundred 
dollars at my decease; and then at the death of my wife, all five daughters 
are to have equal shares, it being my desire that Elizabeth Barton, wife of 
Samuel Barton, have her portio paid to herself or in case of her death, then 
to her heirs, as I do not design her husband to have any control of the 
same. Also, I design Caroline's portion to be paid to herself or in case of 
her death, then to her heirs (if any) as I do not wih her husband, Henry 
Winn, to have any control or part in the premises.

I do herby nominate and appoint David Dutro and John Plants, Executors of 
this my last will and testament, hereby authorizing and empowering them to 
comptomise, adjust, release and discharge, in such manner as they may deem 
proper, the debts and claims due me and at the decease of my said wife, to 
sell my real estate and whatever personal peoperty may then be unexpended 
and divide the proceeds thereof as before named.

I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made.  In testimony whereof, I 
have hereunto set my hand and seal this 14th day of October A. D. 1855.
