Item 1st I give and devise and bequeath, to my two sons Hiram Sherman and Josiah Sherman and their heirs the following real estate, being the middle part of lot no.eighteen in the ninth square of the town of Duncan Falls, in Muskingum County, Ohio. Beginning at the south east corner of said lot, thence west seventy six feet to a corner, thence north to a street and post, thence east with said street seventy four feet to a post. thence with the east end of the house on said lot to the place of the beginning. Item 2nd I give bequeath and devise to my son Hiram Sherman the thirty dollars which he now owes me or has already received. Item 3rd I give and bequeath to my son Hiram Sherman all my cooking utensils and all my dishes. Item 4th I give and bequeath to my son Josiah Sherman my bay mare and the one horse wagon which he has now in his possession. Item 5th I give and bequeath to my grandson Josiah Sherman one hundred dollars out of my moneys and credits and also my bay mare Snap, also with my cushioned buggy and harness. I also give him the bed and beding that I now acupy together with the little burear looking glass, a choping axe and my rifle gun. Item 6th I give and bequeath to my son Davis Sherman fifty dollars out of my moneys and credits. Item 7th I give and bequeath to my son John Sherman fifty dollars. Item 8th I give and bequeath to my son James Sherman, one hundred and fifty dollars of which he has already received one hundred dollars. Item 9th I give and bequeath to my daughter Lois Hatfield one bed and bedding and twenty five dollars out of my moneys and credits. Item 10th I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Julia Ann Sherman, one bed and bedding. Item 11th I give and bequeath to my daughter Lucy Gregory one bed and bedding and twenty five dollars out of my moneys and credits. Item 12th It is my will that when the above devises are all filled and complied with that the residence or remainder of my property shall be equally divided amongst my legal heirs. Item 13th I do hereby nominate Hiram Sherman, Josiah Sherman, and John Sherman executors of my last will and testament hereby authorizing and empowering them to compromise and adjust, release and discharge in such manner as they may deem proper. The debts, and claims due me. I do also authorize and empower them if it shall become necessary in order to pay my debts, to sell by private sale and in such manner, upon such times of credit or otherwise as they my think proper, all or any part of my real estate, and deeds to purchasing to make acknowledge and deliver in fee simple.
