Mrs. Kellar had been ailing for several months. She leaves a husband, and a daughter of two years. Mrs. Kellar was an exemplary woman, a faithful wife, loving mother and kind neighbor, whose loss will be deeply mourned. The husband has the deepest sympathies of all." PROLE "Died, at her home in Prole, July 3, 1898, of consumption, Mrs. Lida Kellar, wife of Henderson Kellar. She was born Nov. 17, 1878, and lived with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Wheeler until Oct. 3, 1893, when she was married to Henderson Kellar and has lived near Prole ever since. Mrs. Kellar was honored and loved by all that knew her. She was kind and affectionate and always ready and willing to do a good act whenever an opportunity presented itself. With bright hopes of getting well she lingered along patiently for six months until last Sunday at 1:30 o'clock she passed away. The day before she died she told her friends she realized for the first time that she was going to die. The funeral services were conducted at the Linn Grove church July 5, at 2 p.m. and were attended by a large circle of friends and neighbors. Our hearts go out in sympathy for the bereft ones. May we all live and prepare ourselves to meet her in that home above. A. Friend " All spelling and punctuation was copied directly from the original.
