Martha Watson of Noble County Dies in Hospital - CALDWELL, O. - Mrs. Martha C.
Watson Harper, 62, wife of S.J. Harper, merchant at South Olive, died Monday
night at 9:35 o'clock in Bethesda hospital, Zanesville, following an operation,
which she underwent Monday morning. Mrs. Harper had been a patient in the
Zaneville hospital for several weeks. She was a daughter of the late William and
Cassie Watson and was born in the Middleburg community. She was a member of the
Methodist church at South Olive. Surviving in addition to her husband are three
sisters and a brother. They are Mrs. Aranetta Miller, Chandlersville; Mrs.
Victoria Gordon, Caldwell; Mrs. Weltha Penrose, Akron, and F.C. Watson,
Zanesville. Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the
Methodist church at South Olive, conducted by Rev. Walter H. Brown. Interment
will be made in Olive cemetery, Caldwell, in charge of the McVey-Headley funeral
