Noble Co. Man Dies at Home 

CALDWELL - S.J. Harper, 74, retired South Olive merchant, died at his home at 1
o'clock Monday afternoon. Death was attributed to a heart ailment. He was the
son of George W. and Eliza Mendenhall Harper. He was a lifelong resident of the
Dexter City and South Olive communities. Mr. Harper operated a grocery store in
South Olive for 40 years. Surviving are three brothers, J.M. of South Olive,
Marion of Dexter City, and Dr. W.C. Harper of Caldwell. The body is at the McVey
funeral home pending arrangements.
