Marietta Ohio, Times, April 7, 1958
M. E. Lee "Colonel" Lee age 91 passed away at his home at 406 Montgomery St. 
Marietta, Ohio on Sunday.
Born Apr. 23, 1866 in Harriettsville, Noble Co., Ohio the son of William and 
Louisa "Jane" Carmichael Lee. He married Louisa "Wesa" Gibbons Dec 31, 1899.
Surviving children of this marriage are Harley Lee of Warren, Ohio; Willaim 
and Wesley Lee of Alliance, Ohio; Roy, Glen and daughter Mrs. Minnie Ullman of 
Marrietta. His wife Pearl Stinespring Lee susvives with two brothers and one 
sister, Clarence Lee of New Martinsville, W. Va.; Floyd Lee of Newcomerstown, 
Ohio; and Mrs Rilla Crock of Marietta. He has 20 grandchildren and 32 great-
grandchildren.
M. E. Lee was in the mercantile bussiness at Harriettsville, and also served 
as clerk of the school board and township clerk.  Has resided in Marietta 
since 1931.
     Fineral services will be Wednesday at Doudna & McClure Funeral Home. 
Burial will be in Harriettsville Cemetery, Noble Co.,Ohio.

Additional Comments:
Second wife of M.E. Lee was the late Marinda Gregory Boll Lee.
At one time M. E. and Pearl lived in Trumbull Co., Ohio.
All legal documents that were signed by Merrell Ellsworth Lee were signed M. 
E. Lee. He and Wesa had 10 children.
Brother is Samuel "Clarence" Lee.
