Emilia "Emily" (BROWN) McGURK was born circa 1811 in County Donegal, Ireland.  
She married James McGURK Nov 27 1831 in Edinburgh Parish, County Midlothian, 
Scotland.  Her husband left her for another woman prior to 1841.  Emily, her 
children, and some of her sibling emigrated to the U.S. in the Fall of 1860, 
settling in Ohio.   She died circa 1884 in Summerfield, Noble County, Ohio.   
James and Emily (BROWN) McGURK had three children:  Andrew McGURK, 
Janet "Jane" (McGURK) BIRCHER, and Catherine "Kate" (McGURK) CRAIG.
