Will of Samuel Danford Be it remembered that heretofore, to-wit: On April 20, 1905, application for Probate was filed herein which reads and is in words and figures following, to wit: Application for Probate of Will Probate Court, Noble county, Ohio – In the matter of the Last Will and Testament of Samuel Danford, Deceased, to the Probate Court of said County your petitioner respectfully represents that Samuel Danford late a resident of the township of Sharon in said County, died on or about the 17 day of April, A.D. 1905, leaving an instrument in writing herewith produced, purporting to be his last Will and Testament. That the said Samuel Danford died leaving Eurana Danford his widow who resides at Caldwell R.F.D. R.3, and the following named persons his only next of kin, to wit: Name Age of Minors Degree of Kinship P.O. Address James W. Danford Son North Branch, Minn J.S. Danford Son Chicago Ill. Michael Danford Son Caldwell, Ohio Catharine Foreman Daughter Sylva, Tenn Sarah L. smith Daughter Caldwell, O. Milford Essex Grandson Mt. Ayr, Iowa Albert H. Danford Grandson Unknown William H. Danford Grandson Caldwell, R.F.FD. No. 3. Anna Cheshir Granddaughter Marietta, Ohio Arminta Waller Granddaughter Pittsburg, Pa. (She is married again and name not know. And afterward, to wit: On April 20, 1905, Will was filed herein which reads and is in words and figures following to wit: I, Samuel Danford of Sharon township, Noble County, Ohio, being of lawful age and sound mind and memory do make and publish this as and for my last will and testament: Item (1) I will that out of my property all my just debts be paid at my decease and that my executor erect at my grave a tombstone or monument at a cost not to exceed seventy five dollars. Item (2) I give and devise to my wife Eurana Danford should she survive me, that one undivided third part of all my real estate for and during the term of her natural life. Item (3) I give and devise one equal eight part of my estate to my daughter Catherine A. Foreman. Item (4) I give and devise to my son James W. Danford one equal one eight part of all my estate and I hereby charge him with an advancement heretofore made by me to him of the sum of four hundred dollars which said sum I desire deducted from his said share. Item (5) I give and devise to my son John S. Danford the one equal one eighth part of all my estate and I hereby charge him with an advancement heretofore made by me to him of the sum of one hundred and seventy dollars which said sum I desire deducted from his said share. Item (6) I give and devise to my daughter Sarah Lucretia Smith the one equal one eighth part of all my estate and I hereby charge her with an advancement heretofore made by me to her of the sum of one hundred and fifty four dollars which said sum I desire deducted from her said share. Item (7) I give and devise to my son Michael Danford the one eighth part of all my estate and I hereby charge him with an advancement heretofore made by me to him of the sum of twelve hundred dollars which said sum I desire deducted from his said share. Item (8) I give and devise to my grandson Milford Essex who is a son of my deceased daughter Jane Essex the one eight part of all my estate. Item (9) I give and devise to my granddaughter Arminta Waller who is a daughter of my deceased son Morris B. Danford the one eighth part of all my estate and I hereby charge her said share with an advancement of one thousand dollars heretofore made by me to her father the said Morris B. Danford and I desire said sum of one thousand dollars deducted from her said share. Item (10) I give and devise to my granddaughter Anna Cheshir the one twenty- fourth part of all my estate. Item (11) I give and devise to my grandson Albert H. Danford the one twenty- fourth part of all my estate and I hereby charge him with an advancement heretofore made by me to him of twenty-eight dollars which said sum I desire deducted from his said share. Item (12) I give and devise to my grandson William H. Danford the one twenty- fourth part of all my estate. Item (13) I give and devise to my wife Eurana Danford all of my household and kitchen furniture including books, pictures, etc. Item (14) It is my will that all the remainder of my personal property be converted into cash by my executor and be applied to the carrying out of the provisions of this my last will. Item (15) I hereby nominate and appoint my son Michael Danford to be executor of this my last will and testament and I hereby clothe him with full power to sell and convey all of the lands and tenements of which I may die seized, such real estate however to be first appraised by the appraisers whom the court may appoint to appraise my personalty.
