Record of William Wilson’s Will
I William Wilson of the County of Noble in the State of Ohio, do make and 
publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following, that is 
to say: First, It is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be 
fully paid.
Second.  It is my will that all my children [---] equal in the distribution of 
my estate Share & Share alike – deducting the following sums from the 
following heirs, Six hundred dollars from the share of my eldest son Shepherd, 
for property deeded to him, situate in New Philidelphia, Ohio, - Four hundred 
and seventy five dollars from the share of my son James for money laid out for 
him in land in Iowa and other moneys advanced to him.  Four hundred and thirty 
dollars from the share of my son Joseph for money laid out for him in land in 
Illinoise, Four hundred and thirty dollars from the share of my son Charles W. 
for money laid out for land for him in Illinoise – Two hundred and fifty 
dollars from the share of my daughter Susanna Maria for money laid out for 
land for her in Illinoise.
And Lastly:  I hereby constitute and appoint my son Shepherd Wilson to be the 
executor of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former 
wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last 
will and testament.
  In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighteenth 
day of April in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty four.
