Jacoby Earl Francis Jacoby, 77, of Peebles, died Sunday, April 26, 1998, at Highland District Hospital. He was born Aug. 29, 1920, in York, Pa., the son of William and Edith (Slough) Jacoby. He was a retired Mechanical Engineer and Consultant with Ziel-Blossom Inc. of Cincinnati. He was a 1949 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of World War II and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He is survived by his wife, June (McNaught) Jacoby, whom he had married on May 1, 1971, in Cincinnati; two daughters, Jan Dunnington of Burlington, N.C., and Judy Ewalt of Baltimore, Md.; Four step-sons, Robert, Reed, Richard, and David Schrichte; five grandchildren, two sisters and four brothers. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Robert Eversull will officiate. Friends may call on Friday from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Highland County, 1404 North High St., Hillsboro.
