Knisely, 69, of Springfield, died Friday, March 20, 1998, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton where he had been a patient since March 12. He had been ill three months. Mr. Knisely was born May 25, 1928, in Fayette County to Elisha and Goldie Bryant Knisely. He lived most of his life in Springfield where he was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Champion Aerie 307 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Springfield. Mr. Knisely was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Knisely, and two sisters, Alice and Donna Jean Knisely. He is survived by his former wife, Helen Bryan Knisely; three sons, Gary Knisely and his wife, Barbara, of Washington C.H., Larry Knisely of Columbus and Kenny Knisely and his wife, Megan of Washington C.H.; 10 grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Myrtle Knisely of Washington C.H. and Albert and Ellen Knisely of Greenfield; and two sisters, Mildred Wright of Springfield and Pauline Beakes of Fairborn. The funeral will be Monday, March 23, at 1:30 p.m., at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington C.H. with Jean R. Creamer, minister at the Hickory Lane Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
