Mason kkmason@shianet.org March 23, 2000 *********************************************************************** Unknown newspaper May 4, 1998 Mildred Johnson Mildred "Millie" (Palmer) Johnson, 80, of Washington C.H., longtime resident of Greenfield, died Saturday, May 2, 1998, at her daughter's residence in Greenfield. Born April 11, 1918, in Ross County, she was the daughter of Hollie Palmer and Ethel (Ballenger) Palmer. She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie (McDonald) Bullard-Smith of Washington C.H.; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and David M. Miley of Greenfield; step-son, Bill Johnson of Dublin; nine grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; sisters, Marguerite Edwards of Bainbridge, Alice T. Sexton of Washington C.H. and Claribel Wood of Washington C.H.; and brothers, George Palmer of South Salem and Harvey Palmer of Frankfort. She was preceded in death by husbands, Wallace McDonald and Howard Johnson; son, Wallace Franklin McDonald; brother, Walter Palmer; sister, Doris Wood; and an infant brother in death. She was a retired sales clerk at Bays Variety and Dollar General Store. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Murray Funeral Home, Greenfield, with the Rev. Robert K. Blaine officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield Area Medical Center.
