Lionel R. Poole
   Lionel R. Poole, 72, of Hillsboro, died Monday, May 25, 1998, at Highland District 
Hospital.
   He was born April 16, 1926, in Adams County, the son of Joseph Estle and Pauline 
(Jones) Poole.
   He was retired from the Highland County Highway Department and was a Navy 
Veteran of World War II.
   He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Estie Poole, and his wife, Sara Jean 
(Uohannan) Poole, Nov. 3, 1989.
   He is survived by his mother, Pauline Poole of Greenfield; soul mate, Ginger Poole of 
Hillsboro; step-daughters, Michelle and Rebecca Alexander of Hillsboro; eight brothers, 
Avadore Poole of Greenfield, Joseph Poole Jr. of Hawaii, Delbert Poole of Tennessee, 
Rome Poole of Greenfield, Shelby Poole of Greenfield, Roger Poole of Greenfield, 
Lamond Poole of Hillsboro and Travis Poole of Florida; three sisters, Shirley Clay of 
Greenfield, Priscilla Jones of Oklahoma and Judith Rhodes of Sinking Spring; and a step-
granddaughter, Katie.
   Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home. 
Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the 
funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Highland County Honor 
Guard.
