Ellen M. Smalley
   Ellen May Smalley, 71, of Cincinnati, formerly of Greenfield, died Saturday, 
March 14, 1998, at Franciscan Health System of Cincinnati.
   Born Feb. 9, 1927, in Ross County, she was the daughter of Danial H. Walker 
and Leona A. (Washburn) Walker.
   She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and William Rennegarbe 
of Cincinnati; two sisters, Martha Seitz of Leesburg and Frances Nixon of 
London; and several nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur P. Smalley; and two sisters.
   She was a member of the American Legion of Cincinnati and the Northern Hills 
Nazarene Church.
   A manager in retail sales, she was a former employee of American Pad & 
Textile, U.S. Shoe and Collins Packing.
   Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Murray Funeral Home, 
Greenfield, with the Rev. Marion King officiating. Burial will follow in the 
Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday at the 
funeral home.
