Born April 25, 1909, she was the daughter of George W. Bloom and Alverda (Kendall) Bloom. She was a member of the Sugar Tree Ridge United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George F. and Susan Pond Stroop of Waynesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Gladys and Harry McIntosh of Wilmington and Mrs. Norma Jane and Dr. Edwin A. Jones of Springboro; grandchildren, Michele L. Jones of Durham, N.C., Teresa S. (John) Beimly of Springboro, Kelli D. (Vic) Oliveira of Torrance, Calif., and Vicki L. (Bobby) Stickleman of Lebanon; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Glenn Bloom, Lester Bloom and Ernest Bloom; and sister, Helen Anderson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10 a.m., at the Sugar Tree United Methodist Church in Sugar Tree Ridge. The Rev. Martin Dennis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sugar Tree Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 527 N. South St., Wilmington, today from 6-8:30 p.m.
