Richard Swindler
   Richard Irvin Swindler, 76, 626 N. South St., Wilmington, died Monday, June 
30, 1997 at 11:40 a.m. at Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington.
   He was born May 21, 1921 in Wilmington, a son of W. Irvin and Nellie 
(Chambliss) Swindler, who are both deceased. His wife, Shirley (Chaney) 
Swindler, survives.
   Funeral services were held Thurday, July 3 at 1 p.m. at the Wilmington United 
Methodist Church, 61 E. Main St., Wilmington. Burial was in Sugar Grove 
Cemetery, Wilmington. Visitation was observed Wednesday, July 2 after 2 p.m. at 
the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South St., Wilmington.
