Swisshelm Sara Lois Swisshelm, 87, of Westerville, former Hillsboro resident, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born on Feb. 17, 1911, at Hillsboro, the daughter of the late William E. and Sara (Miles) Caldwell. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hillsboro, Towne Club and had been on the Highland Board of Mental Retardation. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Miami University. She had retired from teaching after 28 years of service, teaching at Belle Center, Marshall and Greenfield City Schools. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Swisshelm, whom she married on June 3, 1939; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sheri Swisshelm of Columbus and John W. and Karen Swisshelm of Seattle, Wash.; and four grandchildren, Mark A. Swisshelm, Susan Marie Swisshelm, Lisa Marie Swisshelm and Brian Swisshelm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Father Stanley Luehrmann officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5 till 8 p.m. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Central Ohio Alzheimers Assoc., 3380 Treemont Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
