Young, 61, of New Vienna, died Monday, March 23, 1998, at the Clinton Memorial Hospital emergency room. Born May 19, 1936, in Clinton County, he was the son of Frank Young and Rose Ellen (Minzler) Young. He is survived by his wife, Betty C. (Achor) Young; his father of Hillsboro; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Andrew (Verna Lynn) Young of Leesburg and Douglas Edward (Teresa) Young of New Vienna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herman (Kathy) Young of Leesburg and Kenneth (Sharon) Young of Wilmington; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy (Glen) Daye of Leesburg and Ruby (David) Henderson of New Vienna; granddaughter, Kara Marie Young; stepgrandchildren, Josh and Courtney Livingston of New Vienna and Clint and Amy Cox of Mowrystown; mother- in-law, Helen Achor of New Vienna; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother; a daughter, Lynn Michelle Young; one granddaughter, Lori Dawn Shinkle Young; and his father-in-law, Donald Achor. He was a member of Clinton Lodge I.O.O.F. 92, Highland County Antique Machinery Club, Southwestern Ohio Farm Toy Collectors Club and Amateur Trap Shooting Association. He was the owner of Tom Young's Sales and Services. A 1954 graduate of New Vienna High School, he formerly served at an E-5 in the Ohio National Guard. Services will be held Thursday, March 26, at 10:30 a.m., at the L. Eugene Smith & Son Funeral Home, State Route 73, New Vienna. Burial will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. I.O.O.F. memorial service will be at 8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Vienna Life Squad, P.O.
