Arnold, 69, of Wilmington, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, at his residence. Born Aug. 8, 1928, in Washington C.H., he was the son of L.B. Arnold and Lillie (Hulet) Arnold. He is survived by his wife, Betty (Babb) Arnold; daughter and son-in-law, Abbie (Bruce) Beam of Sabina; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph (Helen) Arnold of Mission, Texas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary (James) Baughn, Pauline Johnson, Ethel Smith, Ruth (Roy) Pearce and Wilmah Hayes, all of Washington C.H.; granddaughter, Bexlie Ann Beam; and grandson, Bryndan Bruce Beam. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Helen Arnold of Westerville; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Dick (Ann Reno) Babb of Sabina and Glenn D. Moore of Greensboro, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Elza Arnold. He was a member of the Wilmington United Methodist Church, Greenfield F. & A.M. #318, Royal Arch Mason – Greenfield Chapter #133, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati and Clinton County Country Squares. In 1953 he purchased Rockwell & Ruhls Red & White Grocery in Washington C.H.; 1959 purchased Moore's Store in Greenfield; 1962 purchased Moore's Store in Wilmington; was a sales representative for Gray Seal Paint of Louisville for 10 years; worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation for 12 years; and was an owner of several rental properties. A graduate of Washington High School, Washington C.H., he was a veteral of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Marine Corps Secret Intelligence Unit. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South St., Wilmington. The Rev. Roy Merz and the Rev. Bob Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad. Visitation will be held today, 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home with Masonic and Scottish Rite Ring. Services at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wilmington United Methodist Church, P.O.
