Wayne Hempstead
   Wayne Hempstead, 90, of Wilmington, died Sunday, March 22, 1998, at Wilmington 
Health Care, Wilmington.
   Born Aug. 2, 1907, in Liberty Township, Clinton County, he was the son of Jesse C. 
Hempstead and Clara (Weaver) Hempstead.
   He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marjorie (Wintersteen) 
Hempstead.
   Visitation will be held Friday, March 27, from noon until service time at 2 p.m., at the 
Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South St., Wilmington. The funeral will be at 2 
p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the New Maple Grove Cemetery in 
Port William.
