Keplinger Charles Wayne Keplinger, 62, of Piketon, died Monday, April 27, 1998, at Pike Community Hospital, Waverly. Born July 24, 1936, in Greenfield, he was the son of Virgil E. Keplinger and Iris (Storts) Keplinger. He is survived by a son, Sandro Keplinger of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Anita Neal of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a sister, Iris Marie Keplinger of Pinellar Park, Fla. He was preceded in death by a sister, Tonita Burgess, and a brother, Dean Keplinger. He was a member of the Greenfield Eagles Lodge and the Greenfield Church of Christ. A 1954 graduate of McClain High School, he was also a graduate of Northwestern University. He served in the U.S Army Intelligence. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Murray Funeral Home, Greenfield, with Rev. Robert K. Blaine officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Highland County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held 12-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
