Lough, 94, of Lebanon, formerly of Greenfield, died Monday, May 25, 1998, at the Otterbein Home, Lebanon. Born March 9, 1904, near Greenfield, she was the daughter of John Joseph and Bertha Mae (Porter) Duncan. She graduated from McClain High School in 1922 and attended Virginia Intermont College. She was a member of the Greenfield Presbyterian Church, its Women's Association and the Jessie T. Mains Sunday School Class, Daughters of the American Revolution, Mothers Club, The Coterie, The 20th Century Club and The Music and Drama Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lavery Lough, and two brothers, Gerald and J. Arnold Duncan. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Judith Wacksman of Cincinnati and Mrs. Catherine Smith of Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren, Sarah Wacksman (Michael) Capotosto, Steven Wacksman, Jeffery Smith and Gordon W. (Charla-Faye) Smith; two great-granddaughters, Shirley-Anne Smith and Kathryn Rose Smith; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Sarah Duncan Dorsey of Greenfield. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Greenfield Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Waits will officiate. Calling hours will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Greenfield First Presbyterian Church, of the charity of one's choice. Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home, Greenfield, is serving the family.
