Mason kkmason@shianet.org April 27, 2000 *********************************************************************** Unknown newspaper March 27, 1998 Norma Rowley Norma Rowley, 89, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, March 26, 1998, at the Salyers Adult Family Home. She was born March 14, 1909, near Harwood, the daughter of William H. and Ida (Shaffer) Allen. She was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Carr Rowley, whom she married on Dec. 8, 1928, in Newport, Ky.; one daughter, Donna Jean Hopkins of Hillsboro; two sons and daughters- in-law, Newt and Chris Rowley and Lynchburg and Kenneth and Carol Rowley of Washington C.H.; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Truman Allen; four sisters, Irene Allen, Opal McDaniel, Lillie Hughes and Gertrude Allen; and one son-in-law, Bud Hopkins. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Leo Kuhn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Harwood Cemetery.
