Mossbarger, 84, of Frankfort, died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at Doctors Hospital in Sarasota, Fla., following a lingering illness. Born Sept. 30, 1913, in Frankfort, he was the son of the late Joseph William and Minnie May (Hostler) Mossbarger. Mr. Mossbarger worked for many years as a manager of a parts department at a local car dealer. A 1931 graduate of Frankfort High School, he was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church and was a member and Past Master of Frankfort Lodge 309, Free and Accepted Masons. He is survived by a son, Wallace D. Mossbarger of Sarasota, Fla.; four grandchildren, Joseph W. McGowan, Mark A. Mossbarger, Marla R. Wagler and Marie D. Mossbarger; seven great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law and wife, Donald and Ann McGowan of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella S. "Sue" Robertson, whom he married Oct. 25, 1936; and a daughter, Barbara Ann McGowan. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, at Fisher-Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Benkert officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 p.m. where Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m.
