Helen J. Roberts
   Helen J. Roberts, 90, of Mount Sterling, formerly of Mowrystown, died Monday, 
March 23, 1998, at Heartland of Hillsboro.
   Born Dec. 1, 1907, in Melvin, she was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Rankin and 
Anna Jane (Asbury) Rankin.
   She was a member of the Mowrystown Presbyterian Church and was past Worthy 
Matron of the Sabina Order of the Eastern Order.
   She is survived by two sons, Jack V. (Joanne) Roberts of Mowrystown and Phil (Carol) 
Roberts of Hillsboro; daughter, Sara "Sally" Sanders of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; 
10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
   Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m., at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 
Hillsboro. The Rev. Robert League will officiate. Burial will follow in Roberts Cemetery. 
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. There will be an 
Eastern Star service held at the funeral home Wednesday night.
   Memorials may be made to the Thomas Sanders Memorial Scholarship Fund, 418 West 
Pleasant St., Hillsboro.
