Mason kkmason@shianet.org April 27, 2000 *********************************************************************** Times-Gazette April 30, 1998 Helen Rudd Helen Rudd, 78, of Hillsboro (Belfast community), died Tuesday April 28, 1998 at her residence. She was born November 16, 1919 in Clarksville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ross and Pearl (Brumbaugh) Andrews. She was a member of the Chesterfield Friends Church in Wilmington and the Yellow Rockers. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Gilliam, and a brother, Bert Andrews. She is survived by her husband, Charles Rudd, whom she married on May 10, 1941; three daughters, Carolyn Shelton of Greenfield, Mrs. Richard (Sandy) Vance of Hillsboro, Charlene Miller of Hillsboro; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Andrews of Wilmington; and five sisters, Ludene Smith of Blanchester, Irma Comfort of Michigan, Hattie Kelley of Florida, Ernesting Browning of Florida, and Shirley Morris of Lynchburg. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home. The Rev. Merritt Reese will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
