Boyer Beth Avis Boyer, 87, of Louisville, Ky., died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Jerry Newell, with whom Mrs. Boyer had been residing since 1991. She was born Jan 15, 1911, in St. Elmo, Ill., to John Burton and Elizabeth Jane (Dorman) Blizard. She lived most of her life in Good Hope before moving to Kentucky. She formerly was a secretary for Wilknet in Greenfield and also for the Miami Trace Board of Education. Mrs. Boyer was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church and formerly a member of the grange, garden club and bridge club. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Goldsberry, 1961, and her second husband, Walter Boyer, 1981. She was also preceded by three brothers, Burton, Frank and Charles Blizard. Mrs. Boyer is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Jerry Newell, and two grandchildren, Krista Newell and Tony Newell, all of Louisville; two nieces, Carol Shaw and Cindy Blizard, both of Grove City; a nephew, Chuck Blizard and his wife, Sue, of New Vienna; a great-nephew, Chris Blizard of New Vienna; and a great-niece, Tracy Shaw of Grove City. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Good Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington C.H.
