Brisco James Wallace Brisco, 86, of Hillsboro, formerly of Shoals, Ind., died May 27, 1998, at Oakland Nursing Center in Hillsboro. Born Feb. 10, 1912, in Shoals, Ind., he was the son of Arthur B. Briscoe and Nellie M. (Tranter) Brisco. He is survived by his wife, Annta Marie (Sweeney) Brisco; one brother, Arthur B. Brisco of San Marcas, Calif.; one aunt, Marjory Brisco of Vincennes; one nephew, Steven Brisco of Evansville; and three nieces, Judy Brisco of Enfield, Conn., Lois Bertram of Indianapolis and Vickie Kerschner of Indianapolis. He had been the assistant post master in Shoals from 1934 to 1939 and 1939 to 1963; project and supervisory engineer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton; and from 1963 to his retirement in 1974, he was a test specification analyst for Potter and Brumfield in Priceton. He graduated from Oaktown High School, Coyne Electrical of Chicago, Ill., RCA Institutes of New York, N.Y., and the University of Minnesota of Minneapolis with a degree in Aeronautical Electronics. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Funeral mass will be held Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shoals, Ind., with Father Leo Kiesel officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals, Ind.
