Mason kkmason@shianet.org June 6, 2000 *********************************************************************** Unknown newspaper May 1, 1998 Robert Burns Jr. Robert Burns Jr., 66, of Frankfort, died Thursday, April 30, 1998, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Chilicothe, following a lengthy illness. Born Feb. 3, 1932, in Ross County, he was the son of the late Robert and Lulu Dennis Burns. Bob was a retired builder and contractor in the Frankfort area for 47 years. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of and Past Master of Frankfort Lodge 309, Free and Accepted Masons, American Legion in Chilicothe, Chilicothe Moose Lodge, and for several years he was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and was a member of the Adena Road Church of Christ in Chilicothe. He is survived by his wife, Helen Caplinger Burns, to whom he was married to for 32 years; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Lisa Burns of Frankfort, Robert III and Carla Burns of Springfield and Charles and Gloria Caplinger of Frankfort; daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and John Hill of Frankfort and Wanda and Larry Free of Frankfort; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Nellie Daugherty of Bainbridge; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Fisher-Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with Troy Villers officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, where military honors will be accorded by the Frankfort American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8 p.m.
