McMurray, aged 32, died at her home in Philo at 8 o'clock Sunday Morning, following an illness from a complication of diseases. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the late home with Rev. Ivan Allberry officiating. Burial in the Duncan Falls Cemetery. Albert Sheppard Taken By Death Albert A. Sheppard, 85, life resident of Philo, died Friday evening at 9 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Henderson, after alling for a year. Mr. Sheppard had suffered a heart allment. He was a member of Anchor lodge 283, F. & A.M. in Duncan Falls. His parents, Philip and Maria Cooper Sheppard, were early Philo residents. He was the last living of a family of 12 children. A locktender at Philo for a number of years, he had also worked on government river boats, retiring in 1930 after working 43 years. He had last worked on the dredge, Malta, a federal Vessel. Mr. Sheppard was an ardent football and basketball fan, having missed only two Philo basketball games since 1930. He had planned to attend the homecoming football game in Duncan Falls next week. Surving are a son, Harry W. of Philo: a daughter, Mrs. Henderson: a grandson, Richard Sheppard and several nieces and nephews. His wife, Ida, died in 1921. Nora T. Talbot September 11, 1944 Mrs. Nora T. Talbot, 81, widow of Henry P. Talbot, resident of Newark since 1890, died today at 9:50 a.m. in the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. E. Deck. She had been seriously ill a week. Mrs. Talbot was a native of County Cork Ireland, and the daughter of Dennis and Helen Murphy. Two daughters Mrs. A.T. Calhoun of Duncan Falls and Mrs. J.E. Deck of the home survive; also nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Brothers and sisters reside in Ireland. A member of St. Francis de Sales church. Mrs Talbot also was affiliated with the Auxillary to the knights of St. John and a member of the Altar and Rosary society of the church. The body will be returned to the home Tuesday afternoon from the Eagan and Son Funeral Home.
