The Fairfield Co Gen. Soc published a book of abstracts from the Lancaster
(Ohio) Gazette, 1826-1873.  There are some interesting excerpts on MORRIS.

pg 67   paper of July 5, 1860
Died on June 24th in Amanda Township, Mary, wife of John MORRIS.
PG November 24, 1864
Married on October 21st, Mitchell MORRIS and Sophia BOWMAN.
pg 100 November 23, 1865
Married on November 12th in Stoutville, Lewis H HUNTER and Mary A MORRIS.
pg 120  October 8, 1868
Married in Lancaster on September 27th, Henry H SEIBERT and Mary J MORRIS.

There were some before 1850, but if yours came after, wouldn't apply.
