Laura HAVNAR born September 9, 1855 died March 23, 1889 Cadiz, Ohio One by one we are passing to the other side. We are called upon to announce the death of another of our esteemed and accomplished young ladies, Laura Florence, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Havnar. She passed quietly away to her eternal rest at 12 o'clock, Saturday, March 23rd, 1889. For nine long months she has been afflicted with the dread disease, consumption, but bore her sufferings patiently, and was ready when the summons came to be called Home, where sickness nor sorrow can never enter. For a number of years she had been a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz where she proved a faithful and exemplary Christian. She followed mantumaking (sic) for a number of years, but has now laid down the needle and thread and is wearing the crown of victory. She has gone to meet her one brother and two sisters, who had out raced her in life's journey, and will stand to greet her. She was a faithful daughter and a kind and loving sister, and made home attractive by her pleasant and agreeable manners and careful attention. She was universally beloved, and her beautiful life will ever be remembered by many warm friends who sadly mourn her departure. A ray of sunlight has gone from a home that can never be brightened, and hearts made desolate that once thrilled with joy at the sound of her voice. We sympathize the afflicted parents and brothers and sisters in the loss they sustain. Through Laura's dear presence is now no more, we hope they will look to a great infinite being for strength to help them to say: "Thy will, oh Lord, be done."
