Atkinson, Sr. [Byron Atkinson Subject: Robert W. Atkinson, Sr. Robert W. Atkinson, Sr. Robert W. Atkinson, Sr., 84 years, died Sunday, January 3, 1999. Mr. Atkinson was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and had been an area resident the past 80 years. He retired from the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. where he was a foreman. Mr. Atkinson worked for the CCC Camps during World War II. His memberships included Victory Lodge 649 F&AM, Cuyahoga Falls Elks, Cuyahoga Falls Eagles, where he was past president and past Deputy State President, the Shrine, and St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Mr. Atkinson volunteered as a candy striper, as a driver for Meals on Wheels, and the Red Cross. Preceded in death by his wife, Mona, he leaves his son, Robert Jr. of Akron; sister, Evelyn Fergusson; sister-in-law, Eleanor Atkinson of Portage Lakes; niece, Nancy Slinger of Hartville; nephews, Donald Fergusson of Akron and Kenny Fergusson of Portage Lakes. Calling hours WEDNESDAY, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley, Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 811 Grant St., Akron, where Victory Lodge 649 F&AM will conduct service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 270 E. Wilbeth Rd. Entombment at Rose Hill Mausoleum. The family suggests memorials to the Red Cross. I Mary Day of Ravena Portage County Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testiment Item 1. It is my will that all my past debts and funeral expenses be fully paid. Item 2.I give devise and bequeath to my daughter in law Mary A. Day and to her heirs the real estate recently purchased by me from and deeded to me vy A.C. Tomkins and which was sold to daid Tomkins by John Wait being a house and lot in the village of Ravena County of Portafe state of Ohio. For more paticular description references have had to the deed of said Tomkins to me said real estate to be the property of said Mary A. Day absolutely to herself and her heirs forever. But is expressly provided herein that the husband of said Mary A. Day, Mellville A.Day shall have a house with said Mary A.Day and upon said premises and in case of deceased befor his death then he is to have a home upon said premises during his natural life. Item 3. I give devise and bequeath to my sister Frances Perry and her heirs all my right title and interest in and to about ninety acreas of land situated in Ravena Portage County Ohio generally known as the Babcock place and which was deed to myself___A.Day and MItilda A.Day by the Portage County Branch Bank of Ravena dated December 24,1862. Item 4.I devise and bequeath to my daughter in law aforesaid Mary A.Day all my personal property of every kind and description including household furniture,books,cows,horses and all other proprerty. Also including my interest and rights in the estate of Seth Day deceased. Also all claim notes and accounts of every kind excepting however from this bequeast my carrage whcih I hereby bequeath to my son Mellville A.Day. All other personal property and claims to go to said Mary A.Day as above written. Item 6.I give and devise to the said Mary A.DAy all the balance and residue of my real estate or interest therein except my ____this item only such as are hereinbefore specifically devised. Item 7. I hereby nomminate and appoint Robert King and Robert B. Witten executors of this my last will and testiment. Herby authorizing and empowering them to adjust release and discharge in such way as they deem proper the debts and claims due me ;;and they are also authorized to sell at public or private sales my personal property and real estate in such manner and when such items of credit as they may deem proper if it shall be neccessary to pay my debts and deeds to purchases be executed acknowledge aand deliver____fee simple.
