Stewart Jackson of Denver, Colorado, was born January 23, 1908, the youngest of three children. During her childhood she lived in Denver where she attended the public schools through high school. Early in life she united with the Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church of Denver and was active in its services. In 1926 she came to Delaware and entered Ohio Wesleyan University, from which she was graduated four years later. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. During one summer, while a student in Ohio Wesleyan, she was in charge of one of the school playgrounds. She later attended Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, in which city she was also engaged in social service work. On March 16, 1934, Miss Jackson was united in marriage to Lawrence F. Kellar. Since that time, Mr. and Mrs. Kellar have made their home in Delaware. She looked forward with great anticipation to the realization of her one ideal, a home blessed by the presence of children. And she had done her utmost to make this possible when death intervened, taking both herself and her firstborn, Marilyn Anne, on the morning of May 28, 1935. Mrs. Kellar leaves to mourn their loss, her husband, two brothers; Dr. John Stewart Jackson, Jr. and Melvin Lambie Jackson, and a host of friends."
