(Haney) Calvert Obituary for Emma Gertrude (Haney) Calvert, Circleville, OH, Week of March 3, 1916 "OBITUARY "Mrs. Emma G. Calvert Mrs. Emma Gertrude Calvert, widow of Jacob Calvert, died at her home, 416 East Franklin street, this morning at 3:30 o'clock, from the effects of asthma, in her 63rd year. Deceased recently purchased the E.B. Beeshy property, in East Franklin street, and had moved her family there last Monday. She was apparently feeling well until yesterday noon, when she became very ill. Deceased was a daughter of Elijah and Elizabeth (Grant) Haney, and was born in Virginia. She came to Pickaway county in 1880. On Sept. 13, 1882, she was united in marriage to Jacob R. Calvert, who preceded her in death on August 11, 1912. Of this union the following children survive: Mrs. Leona Stout, of Jackson township; Harry Calvert, of Mt. Sterling; and Margaret, at home. Arthur, of Jackson township; Charles Deceased is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Haney, who resides with her son near Mt. Sterling, two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, of Indiana and Mrs. Mary Rains, of Columbus, three brothers, Oscar Haney, of near Mt. Sterling; Homer Haney, of Maumee, Ohio and Edward Haney, of Columbus. The family formerly resided in Pickaway township, where te late Jacob R. Calvert was successfully engaged in farming. They moved to Circleville about four years ago. Deceased was a member of Morris U.B. church." Calvert (publication unknown)(probably related to work at phone company) "Lineman Dies We are sorry to report, and we extend our sympathies to the family, on the death of Harry Calvert, lineman, who passed away at White Cross hospital, Jan. 20, 1937, of lobar pneumonia and complications which set in following an operation. Mr. Calvert was being operated on for a skull fracture. Harry's widow, Winnie L. Calvert, and five children survive. He was a groundman and laborer in the Line department since coming here February 11, 1935. Mr. Calvert was 51 years old. He made his home in Columbus at 940 Hamlet street. Burial took place at Era, O., Friday, Jan. 22."
