Kickapoo Street last week, was probated Tuesday. Provides for a family monument at Xenia, Ohio and the balance to her niece, Bertha Snodgrass. Joseph H. WELLER is the executor of the will. (9 Dec. 1896 p1 c3). LENNON, Joseph - Joseph Lennon died at the County Infirmary Saturday morning. Age 79 years. He is a native of Muskingum County, Ohio, born in 1820. He moved with his father into this county in 1852. Children surviving are: Riley, Nancy Cook, Wesley, Joseph and William. Funeral preached Sunday by Elder Levi Winklebleck and burial I.O.O.F. Cemetery. (17 Jan. 1900 p5 c1 and c3). McCANN, Clarence - Clarence McCann, son of Martin McCann, of S. Jefferson street, died this morning at 2:05 a.m. Remains will be taken to Zanesville, Ohio for burial Saturday. He was 17 years old on June 1, 1897. (25 Aug. 1897 p1 c2). McCANN, Eddie - Monday, Will Rosenbaum received a telegram from Zanesville, Ohio, announcing the death of Eddie McCann, age 21 and popular among young people of this city. (8 Sept. 1897 p1 c6). McCLAIN, Charles - Charles McClain and brother Bert, will embark in the furniture business at Marion, Ohio, within a few days. (14 Sept. 1892 p8 c1). McCLAIN, W.H. - W.H. McClain and son Charles, went to Marion, Ohio, last week. (21 Sept. 1893 p5 c3). McCOLLY, Mrs. James G. - Mrs. McColly, wife of James G. McColly, died at her home in Harrison Twp., Thursday at 3 a.m. Married Mr. McColly in 1875. Four children: Emory Burrough, Antwerp, Ohio; Mrs. Ida Murphy, Madison, Indiana; A.J. McColly and Mrs. Daisy Pownell of Harrison Twp., this county. She was 49 years old. (4 July 1900 p5 c1). McCRADY, Lillie - Lillie McCrady, beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.H. McCrady, was born in Circleville, Ohio, April 3, fifteen years ago and died in Hartford City last Thursday. Funeral held last Sunday from Methodist Church by Rev. King. (12 Oct. 1893 p1 c4). MADDOX, J.J. - J.J. Maddox was called to Hillsboro, Ohio, Thursday, by the death of his brother, Rev. D.L. Maddox. Rev. Maddox was born in 1806 and was 91 years old. James J. Maddox will remain there until after the funeral. (23 Feb. 1898 p7 c4). MADDOX, James J. - James J. Maddox, age 73 years, found dead in bed Monday morning. He was born in Ohio, lived in Blackford County for over 40 years. Married Miss Sophia Miller who died several years ago. Served in the Civil war. Six children survive: Jacob G, Alonzo, Peter, John, James and Mrs. Lizzie McCaffrey. (6 June 1900 p1 c5). MANOR, J.W. - J. W. Manor, age 76, died at his home at Xenia, Ohio. Father of David and City Clerk Roll Manor, who left Monday to attend the funeral. Deceased was a pioneer of Xenia, Ohio. (15 Dec 1897 p8 c6). MASON, Dr. C.R. - Dr. C.R. Mason and Dr. C.L. Bell went to Cincinnati Tuesday to attend class exercises of the Ohio Medical college from which Dr. Mason graduated 27 years ago. MASON, Attorney John E. - Attorney John E. Mason, of Montpelier, died Monday. Age only 27 years. Remains taken to Moringa, Ohio for burial. (22 Sept. 1897 p1 c6). MAYER, Mrs. Aime - Mrs. Aime Mayer died at her residence on the south side Tuesday night. The family moved from Fostoria, Ohio, about a year ago. (1 Mar. 1894 p8 c2). MEACHEM, Charles - Charles Meachem, of Jackson, Ohio, died at 6 o'clock Friday at the residence of his uncle, Wm. Meachem, east of town. He came here eight weeks ago. Age 22 years. Buried I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Saturday afternoon. Services by Rev. H.J. Russell of this city. (16 Sept. 1896 p1 c2). MERCER, DAVID M. - D.M. Mercer, born July 15, 1815 in Grune County, Ohio. Died in Hartford City, Sept. 3, 1893, age 78y 1m 8d. Married November 29, 1837 to Miss Teissiah Campbell, at Warren County, Ohio. Came to Blackford County, Indiana September 29, 1837. Wife died 1882. Elected sheriff in 1854 and re-elected in 1856. Milling business for 40 years. (7 Sept. 1893 p1 c6). MILES, Alfred - Golden Wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Miles at their residence four miles N.W. of Hartford City, on Saturday. He was born in New Jersey, April 7, 1819. Mrs. Miles was a Gillespie, born in Ohio, August 13, 1820. Married July 13, 1845. Two children: Junees and a daughter, wife of A.J. Townsend (17 July 1895 p1 c4). MILLER, Henry M. - Henry M. Miller, died Easter Sunday at Platsmouth, Nebraska, age 73. Born in Ohio and moved to Hartford City in early days. He was Sheriff of Blackford County for several years. He left Hartford City in 1869 and went to Nebraska same year. His wife and nine children survive him. He had a number of nieces and nephews in Blackford County. (13 Apr. 1893 p4 c4). MILLS, Allen - Allen Mills, known to friends as "Katy" died Wednesday at his home 4 1/2 mile N.E. of this city. An old settler from Ohio, came here about 40 years ago. Leaves wife and ten children, five boys and five girls. Funeral held Friday. Burial Hadden Graveyard. Rev. Seelig had charge of services. (27 Nov. 1895 p4 c3). MIX, Mrs. A. M. - News was received in this city Thursday of an accident which befell Mrs. A. M. Mix, age 73, who is visiting her brother, Marcus McClain, at Galion, Ohio. She fell down a flight of stairs. She is one of the best known ladies in this city and Blackford County - resided here many years. (10 oct. 1900 p6 c5). MONFORT, Alice Daisy - Alice Daisy Monfort, born in Franklin, Ohio, April 28, 1866, died in Hartford City, August 4, 1893, age 27y 3m 6d. Married Frank T. Smith, September 6, 1886. Leaves husband and a little son. (10 Aug. 1893 p1 c1). MOON, Harrison - Harrison Moon, son of Rees and Elizabeth Moon, born in the state of West Virginia, March 12, 1817. Died here September 7, 1894. Age 77y 5m 25d. Married Eleanor Swift, in Fayette County, Ohio, who died fourteen years ago. Four children living: John W.; William; Hugh and Colista Ann Sifes. Four dead: Jacob, Martha, Rees and Theodore. Later married Maranda Needler. (19 Sept. 1894 p8 c4). MOON, Mrs. Sarah E. - Mrs. Sarah E. Moon, wife of Perry Moon, died at her residence near this city last Monday. age 42 years. Born in Shelby County, Ohio. Burial Tuesday at Findlay, Ohio.
