Salt Lick Township was organized in 1823 and was first settled by John Hazelton. Shawnee is in a heavy coal and iron ore section. Many Welsh people are found here. Quite a number of Revolutionary soldiers were early settlers in this county. Most of the War of 1812 soldiers who were early settlers here and enlisted here will be found listed mostly under Fairfield County. Among the Rev. war soldiers were Christian Binckley, Wm. Dusenberry and Daniel Devore. ______________________________ ------------------------------ X-Message: #2 Date: Thu, 8 Jul 1999 16:30:07, -0500 From: AUPQ38A@prodigy.com (MRS GINA M REASONER) To: OH-FOOTSTEPS-L@rootsweb.com Message-Id: <199907082030.QAA08374@mime3.prodigy.com> Subject: FEED SPRING CEMETERY PART 2 Content-Type: Text/Plain; charset=US-ASCII FEED SPRING CHURCH CEMETERY continued HARRISON COUNTY, MONROE TOWNSHIP, OHIO LAFFERTY, Martha 1874 age 22 wife of William MOORE, _____? 1851 age ? footstone W.M.
