Saturday, the twenty fourth: John Demuth's wagon drove toward Pittsburg, to get our dear Bro. and Sr. Loskiel who are on their journey to us. Monday, the twenty sixth: At ten o'clock in the forenoon, the remains of little Elizabeth Romig, who went home day before yesterday, was brought to its resting place after an address. Toward evening the three brethren arrived here from Lititz on a visit: Christian and Matthew Blickensderfer and Matthew Tschudy. Oct Tuesday, the fourth: The visiting brethren from Lititz began their return journey. Thursday, the sixth: After a short sickness, the youth, Jacob Knaus went over, out of this time, into eternity. Friday, the seventh: To our heartfelt pleasure, there arrived from Bethlehem our dear Bro. and Sr. Loskiel. Sunday, the twenty eighth: After an address on the daily texts, the two older girls, Anna Elizabeth Knauss and Maria Boroway were received into the congregation. Thursday, the seventh: Brother and sister Friedrich Meyer with their eight children and brother and sister Michel Fishel with their four children pulled in from Bethel, Pennsylvania. They will live on Bro. Ludwig Knauss' land temporarily until they buy a piece of land for themselves. Sunday, the tenth: Today Bro. Uhrich arrived from Lebanon with his family and moved on to his place not far from the Still water. July Sunday, the twenty second: Upon a friendly invitation Bro. Huebener preached at Mr. Knisely's several miles above Goshen. August Sunday, the twelfth: The two unmarried brethren, ohn Tschudy and Martin Keller were received into the congregation. Monday, the thirteenth: At the Lord's Supper, Bro. Henry and sister Anna Maria Keller partook with us for the first time. The married Bro. John and Sister Barbara Uhrich were in attendance as confirmands. Wednesday, the twenty second: Early in the first hour a little son was born to the married Andrew and Maria Giering, and toward midnight, after several days illness, the above mentioned Andrew Giering passed suddenly and unexpectedly into eternity. Sept. 1804 Sunday, the ninth: Bro. Mortimer of Goshen conducted the meetings here with blessing. Because of the fever in this place, Bro. and sister Meyers and Bro. and sister Fishers again moved to Bethel on the Swatara on the thirteenth. Heckewelder returned from Zanesville, whither he had traveled on business. May Sunday, the fifteenth: After the preparatory speaking, fifteen communicants celebrated the Lord's Supper and Bro. Martin Tschudy was present as a candidate for admission. Thursday, the nineteenth: Mr. Hagan(?) of Baltimore who has purchased land not far from Gnadenhutten, and Mr. Henry Albrecht, who is moving into Gnadenhutten for the time being, arrived today with ltheir families. July Sunday, July 3: A child, Hanna Susanna Haga, who was born on May 24th, was baptised. Sunday, the tenth: Sixteen communicanats observed the Lord's Supper in the afternoon when Bro. Martin Tschudy partook for the first time with the congregation of the Brethren (Moravian). Bro. and Sr. Mueller made a thorough visitation of the German settlement on both sides of the river. Sunday, the thirty first: Bro. Mueller preached for the first time in Bro. Knisely's new house to a large crowd of people, both German and English. At Gnadenhutten Bro. Benjamin Haven from Petotting who was visiting a few days in Goshen, preached in the afternoon. Oct. 1808 Friday, the seventh: Bro. Owen Rice, with his children, Joseph and Salome Rice departed from us for Bethlehem and Nazareth by way of Pittsburg. Bro. Abraham Luckenbach of Goshen also traveled with them to Bethlehem. Sunday, the ninth: There was afternoon preaching in Gnadenhutten. After that occured the baptism of the littlel child, Hanna M'Donald. Sunday, the thirtieth: Married sister Catherine Tschudy observed as a candidate. Nov. Sunday, the sixth: Abraham and Hanna Romig were received into the congregation. Sunday, the twentieth: A number from Gnadenhutten and also from the German settlement went to Goshen to the burial of the remains of our beloved venerable David Zeisberger who blessedly fell asleep on November 17. The married Bro. Martin Tschudy as admitted to the Lord's Supper on June 10. The same blesssing was to be experienced by the married sister Catherine Tschudy; but on account of the high water, the Lord's Supper could not be held. There moved to Gnadenhutten from Pennsylvania on May 10 Henry and Barbara Albrecht with their five children. He belongs to the Moravian Church,l she to the Lutheran. The married brother, Martin Keller, went home Sept 18. The single brother, Joseph Rice of Nazareth and the single sister, Salome Heckewelder from here were married on September 29 The married sister, Anna Salome Rice, nee Heckewelder, moved from us to Nazareth in Pennsylvania on October 7. Jan 1809 Sunday, 8: In the forenoon I preached a New Year's sermon. In the afternoon,l thirteen communicants observed a blessed Lord's Supper, which the married sister Catherine Tschudy enjoyed with the Brethren's Church for the first time. Bro. Henry Albrecht was also again admitted at his request.
