As the school house in which the meetings were being held was somewhat unsuitable it was determined to build a separate meeting-house and to lay out a God's Acre (cemetery) close by; for this purpose our Bro. Cunow in Bethlehem turned over 5 acres of his own land aabout 5 miles from Gnadenhutten, and on August 21 the plotted God's Acre was dedicated solemnly, with prayer and supplication, to God the ruler over death and life and then the first corpse, the married sister Anna M. Keller, was buried there. May our dear Lord now let means and ways be found to soon bring to completion the building of the meeting-house. On October 24 the name Sharon was designated for this settlement. On June 17 we here in Gnadenhutten had the joy of getting a little bell which was found while plowing in a field close by the town. The widowed sister, Elizabeth Guenther, moved into the village of Gnadenhutten this year with her sons John and Abraham. Likewise Bro. and Sr. John Blickensdorfer with their children moved from their place to Sharon, 2 miles from Goshen. In the year 1815 there were born and baptiin Gnadenhutten Edward Peter and Elias Roemelt; In Sharon, Lucinda Blickensdoerfer and Martin Lud. Keller; and in Beersheba, Barnabas Prttycoart, Catherine Everett, Elizabeth Everett and Enoch Frey; Besides these 14 other children were baptised whose parents are among our aquaintances. Passed away out of time and interred in the God's Acre in Gnadenhutten the married Hrinrich Cram; and the children Eli Westoefer and Catherine Rank, 3 persons; in Sharon, the married sisster Anna Mar. Keller, and the children, Catherine Geger and Lucinda Blickensdoerfer - 3 persons; in Philadelphia: the child, Maria Blickensdoerfer, and in Beersheba the child Jesse Albert Edmonds - 3 persons. In Sharon, Christian Espich and his wife Elizabeth and Thomas Knaus, 3 per, - 6 persons. Those coming to us from other congregations: to Sharon, the single sister, Maria Rachel Friedrich, from Lititz ( the same had come in the previous yeaar on a visit with her friends) and the single Bro.
