The first record book was the Recorder's Deed Book "A". Since there was no Marriage Record Book, we find a few early marriages recorded on pages 225 through 228 in Deed Book A. The following, with the exception of the two designated * are recorded in no other record in the Reserve. After Ohio became a state in March 1803 an official Marriage Record Book was begun. The two marriages * were the first two in that book, but none of the earlier ones were copied.
