The Rev. Jett F. Mohr, of At- tica, will conduct the service, which will be followed by burial in Attica-Venice cemetery. Mrs. Shade was born in Reed township June 18, 1870, to Al- fred S. and Ann Eliza (Gray) Wickwire, and was married Sept. 7, 1902, to John J. Shade, who died July 30, 1911. The deceased was a charter member of the Attica American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are a son, Ray Shade, with whom the deceased resided in Reed township; one brother, Ross Wickwire of Cleveland; one sister, Oliva Geyer of Reed town- ship; and three grandchildren. One dughter, May, three broth- ers, and one sister are deceased. Afflicted with a heart ail- ment, he was found dead in his bed by Mrs. Myers. Born in Reed township Nov. 30 1877, to Alfred S. and Eliza (Gray) Wickwire, he married Bertha Davis in 1902. Mrs. Wickwire died in 1920. Mr Wickwire, retired, had lived in Attica for 15 years before which time he resided in Akron. Survivors include three daugh- ters, Mrs. Opal Myers of Attica, Mrs. Florence Smith, of Akron, and Mrs. Clara Callan, of Los Angelos, Calif; one sone, Orlin Wickwire of Los Angelos; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Shade, of Attica, and Mrs. Olivia Geyer, of Reed town- ship, and one brother; Roscoe Wickwire of Elyria. He died of wounds received in action, according to notice received from the war department today by relatives. Mrs. Samuel Hooper, of Swander, an aunt of the young man, was notified today that his death resulted from wounds received in battle October 3. Private Wickwire was a son of Mrs. Eliza Wickwire and up to the time he entered service, he lived on a farm near Republic with his mother. He left for camp with one of the spring contingents and went overseas soon afterward.
