Calvert, wife of Henry Calvert, died at her home in Pickaway township, Friday evening June 28 (1912), at 9:15 o'clock, after an illness of five months from an abdominal cancer. Mrs. Calvert was born at South Perry, Hocking County, May 23, 1857, and was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Jenkins Wilkens. She married Henry Calvert, December 10, 1874. To this union were born five children, four of whom survive. They are, Florence, wife of Harry H. Anderson; Blanche, wife of Harley Allen; Cora, wife of Clifford Allen; and Berman Calvert, of Pickaway township. A son, Pearl Calvert, died in February, 1907. Besides her husband and children she leaves two brothers; James Wilkens, of Whisler, David Wilkens, of this city; and three sisters; Mrs. Alcinda Miller, of Meade; Mrs. Mary Poling of Whisler, and Mrs. Lina Fox, of Kingston. The funeral service was held Monday morning at ten o'clock at the Morris church. Rev. M. R. White officiated. Burial was in the Hitler-Ludwig cemetery. She was a former member of the Springdale Baptist Church, she was retired from the Nestles Company and past president of the Blue Star Mothers. Her husband Maurice Perry, preceded her in death in 1965. Survivors include, four daughters, Mrs. Milton (Jennette) Wise, Mrs. Tom (Margaret) Barker and Mrs. Kay (Juanita) Vigor, all of Marysville, Mrs. Gene (Ann) Britton, Raymond; one son, George Perry, Marysville; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Postle-Hale Funeral Home, Marysville with the Rev. John Jeffers officiating. burial will be Oakdale Cemetery, Marysville. FRANK HUDSON Died at Parents' Home at Thatcher of Pneumonia - Burial at Reber Hill. Mrs. Hazel May Hudson, wife of Frank G. Hudson, of near Ashville; died Wednesday morning, October 16 (1918), at 5:45 o'clock at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Calvert of Pickaway township, of pneumonia, resulting from an attack of influenza. Mrs. Hudson went to the home of her parents the latter part of the previous week on a visit and was stricken with influenza. She was born April 24, 1895, and was 23 years old. On May 19, 1915, she was united in marriage to Frank G. Hudson by the Rev. M. R. White, and to this union two children were born. In her girlhood Mrs. Hudson assisted in the household duties at home, attended school and graduated. After graduation she taught school until her marriage. She is survived by her husband, Frank G. Hudson; two children, Jane Elizabeth and Mary Alice Hudson, her father and mother, two brothers, Elta and Jesse Calvert and two sisters Goldie and Sylvia Calvert. Funeral services were held Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Calvert by Rev. M. R. White assisted by Rev. Mr. Wilbur. Burial was in Reber Hill cemetery.
