The Daily Chief, Wed. March 20, 1918, Pg 5 Mrs. Joseph RIESTER former resident died at home, near Galion, Monday night. Friends of Mrs. Joseph Riester, residing east of Galion, will be deeply grieved to learn of her death which occurred Monday night at 12:30 o'clock at the home east of Galion, says the Galion Inquirer. Mrs. Riester had been in ill health for a number of years, but had been about her home until about a week ago, when she took very ill with pneumonia, which culminated in her death. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Agnes HOUSER was born in Baden, German, February 15, 1846, thus reaching the age of 72 years, 1 month and 4 days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August HOUSER. On January 12, 1872, she was united in marriage to Joseph RIESTER in Upper Sandusky. Four children were born to this union. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Church in this city. She leaves to mourn their loss the husband and four children; Mrs. Simon BAUMGARDNER, of Galion; Miss Julia Riester, at home; Rev. A. C. Riester of Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis.; and Sister M. Barnaba, of Pena Blania, New Mexico; three grandchildren and a host of friends. Mr. Riester is critically ill with pneumonia.
