She had been sick for about four months, first with a severe case of grip from which complications arose and caused her death. Mrs. Metgzer's parents were Louis and Frances Pierson, pioneer French residents of Nimishillen twp. They lived on a farm north of Fairhope and Mr. Pierson lost his life more than 50 years ago by being kicked by a horse. It was upon this farm that Mrs. Metgzer was born June 12, 1837. After her marriage to John Metgzer she always resided on the South Nickel Plate Road. Mr. Metgzer's death occured 13 months ago, but the following children survive, Miss Catherine and John Metgzer of Louisville, and Dr. E.L. Metgzer of Canton. One sister, Mrs. Louis Menegay, of Canton, and one brother, Joseph Pierson of Winter Haven, Florida, are also living. Mrs. Metgzer spent a useful life, her being a dutiful wife, a good mother, and a kind neighbor and friend. Funeral services were held at St. Louis Catholic church, Tuesday morning, and were in charge of the pastor, Rev. Fr. Senner. Burial was made in St. Louis cemetery. From the Louisville Herald. Mrs. Lombardy was born at Mendeur, Department of the Doubs, France, in the year 1846. She came to America with her parents in 1848 and was married to Mr. Lombardy June 21, 1870. She was the mother of seven children, four of whom still survive her. She was a faithful wife, a kind and gentle mother. Mr. Louis Lombardy and family have the sympathy of the entire community in their late bereavement. The funeral services took place Tuesday morning at the St. Louis Catholic church, Rev.
